Unintentional Activation of Power Door Locks (Replace Power Door Lock Switch) All 1991 Saturns with Power Door Locks


CONDITION: Some customers may comment that the power door lock switches are easily "bumped" or "locked" when they are using the inner door latch handle to open the door.

CAUSE: Switch lever extends beyond bezel.





CORRECTIVE
ACTION: Replace both left and right power door lock switches with a new switch and bezel. Refer to the following procedures for removal and installation of the power door lock switches.


PROCEDURE:

1. Remove door lock switch by carefully pulling out from clip location on upper edge of switch bezel. Do not use instruments that may damage trim.

2. Disconnect electrical connector and remove switch from vehicle.

3. Connect electrical connector to new switch.

4. Install by first inserting the bottom edge (clip) of the switch and then snapping in the clip at the upper edge.
