SUBJECT: Dust or Air Entering at Bottom of Door Handle Assembly (Install Adhesive Backed Tape) All 1991 Saturn Sedans


CONDITION: Dust or air entering vehicle at bottom of inside door handle assembly.


CAUSE: Gap exists between bezel (part of inside door handle assembly) and side door trim assembly.


CORRECTIVE

ACTION: Install adhesive backed foam tape to bottom of door handle bezel.


PROCEDURE:
1. Remove door handle assembly. Refer to the "Door Trim Panel" removal procedures in the "Doors" section of the "Body/Collision Repair Service Manual."





2. Install a piece of 1/4 inch adhesive backed foam tape such as Kent Industries # 40105 (or equivalent) to inside bottom edge of door handle assembly bezel.

3. Install door handle assembly. Refer to the "Door Trim Panel" installation procedures in the "Doors" section of the "Body/Collision Repair Service Manual."

4. If required, repeat steps 1 through 3 for remaining doors.
