Owner, Dealer, Retailers Info
OWNER NOTIFICATIONOwners of vehicles involved in this campaign will be notified by Saturn (refer to the involved owner letter included with this bulletin). Please note that the letter to involved owners recommends that they follow the precautionary measures outlined in the Problems on the Road section of their Saturn Owner's Handbook if any cooling system problems occur.
Saturn will also notify owners of vehicles not involved in this campaign. This is being done to proactively alleviate customer concerns regarding possible involvement of their vehicles in this campaign (refer to non-involved owner letter included with this bulletin).
FACILITY-VIN-LIST
A list of vehicles assigned to you (Facility VIN Listing), which our records indicate were sold by or shipped to you, is enclosed for your follow-up program. The Facility VIN Listing contains:
^ Complete Vehicle Identification Number;
^ Owner name, address and telephone number; and
^ VINs of vehicles, which according to Saturn records are in retall stock.
The Facility VIN Listing is furnished to involved Retailers with the Product Campaign Bulletin. Those Retailers not involved initially in this campaign will receive a message at the top of a blank Facility VIN
Listing that states: "NO VEHICLES ASSIGNED AT THIS TIME FOR CAMPAIGN 91C02."
REMOTE OWNER STRATEGY
All owners of affected vehicles have been requested to return to their selling Retailer. If you require assistance in handling a remote owner Situation, contact the Saturn Assistance Center (1-800-828-2112, prompt 6).
TRANSFER OF CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITY
Any transfer of campaign responsibility from one Retailer to another Retailer must be coordinated through the Saturn Assistance Center.
RETAILER RESPONSIBILITY
Retailers are to contact and assist involved owners in selecting and acquiring a new replacement Saturn vehicle of equivalent value. Replacements are to be made at no additional charge to the owner, regardless of mileage, condition of vehicle, age of vehicle or ownership.
Retailers should ensure that all vehicles subject to this campaign are transported to Spring Hill according to the instructions contained in this bulletin.
