Rear Cover Gasket Replace

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Raise and support vehicle.

3. Drain transaxle fluid.

4. Using tool No. SA9132S or equivalent, separate ball joint from steering knuckle.

5. On models equipped with ABS, outer CV joint has speed sensor ring. Incorrect tool usage to separate ball joint from knuckle may result in ABS system damage.

6. Remove left inner fender splash shield.

7. Loosen transaxle rear mount pivot bolt.

8. Remove transaxle lower mount to cradle attaching bolts.

9. Place suitable transaxle jack stand and wooden block under transaxle case.

10. Raise transaxle, then remove mount.

11. Remove brake line bracket to inner fender attaching bolt.

12. Remove end cover attaching bolts, then cover.
