PROCEDURE:
NOTICE:
When doing repairs, be careful not to bend the headlining trim finish panel. If headlining trim finish panel becomes bent, it may break and leave a wrinkle.
1. Carefully pull down on rear of headlining trim finish panel, disengaging two hook and loop attaching strips.
2. Mark location on backside of the headlining trim finish panel, 114 mm (4.5 in.) forward of the center rear edge.
3. Clean area adjacent to mark on rear roof bow using 3M(R) General Purpose Cleaner # 8964 (or equivalent).
4. Apply 3M(R) Plastic and Emblem Adhesive # 8061 (or equivalent), to area shown. Allow to dry for about 10 minutes.
IMPORTANT:
Use a sufficient amount of adhesive to penetrate into the first underlying layer of the headlining trim finish panel.
5. Using 3M(R) Hook and Pile # 6480 (or equivalent hook and loop material), attach a 51 mm (2 in.) long strip to adhesive location. Make sure protective tape is removed from both sides of the hook and loop material before installing.
