Door Outer Sealing Strips Turn White and/or Flake (Replace Door Outer Sealing Strips)
MODELS AFFECTED:
Some 1991 Saturn Sedans between VIN MZ114730 to VIN MZ124703
CONDITION:
Some 1991 Sedans within the VIN range given above could have a white flaking condition of one or more of the door outer sealing strips.
CAUSE:
Some door outer sealing strips containing insufficient amounts of ultra-violet inhibitors were used within the given VIN range.
CORRECTIVE ACTION:
If an door outer sealing strip displays the condition mentioned, and falls within the VIN range given, replace the door outer sealing strip.
NOTE:
Replace only damaged door outer sealing strips.
PROCEDURE:
Refer to the "Outer Sealing Strip" procedures in the "Doors" section of the "Body/Collision Repair Service Manual."
