Engine Coolant Weeps or Drips at Radiator Hose Connections (Replace Radiator Hose Clamps)
MODELS AFFECTED:
1991-1994 Saturns
CONDITION:
Engine coolant weeps or drips at radiator hose connections.
CAUSE:
Radiator hose clamps may not provide adequate clamp load on the radiator hose connections during all temperature conditions, allowing engine coolant to weep or drip.
CORRECTION:
If engine coolant weeps or drips are detected at any of the four radiator hose connections, replace the radiator hose clamps with radiator inlet hose clamp (P/N 21030894).
Torque: 3 Nm (27 in.lbs.)
Note:
The radiator inlet hose clamp (P/N 21030894) is a spring-type clamp and can be used at the following locations if the engine coolant weeps or drips at radiator hose connections.
^ Lower radiator hose to radiator
^ Lower radiator hose to thermostat housing
^ Upper radiator hose to radiator
^ Upper radiator house to cylinder head outlet
