Circuit 33, 33B, 33C, 33E

LOCATION:
Circuit 33B connects I/P cluster connector cavity E to I/P junction block connector cavity D2. Circuit 33C connects I/P junction block connector cavity D1 to low brake fluid switch connector cavity B. Circuit 33E connects I/P junction block connector cavity D4 to anti-lock brake system (ABS) controller connector cavity D07. Circuit 33 connects I/P junction block connector cavity C1 to parking brake switch connector cavity B.

TYPE:
Tan/White 22 gage wire.

FUNCTION:
Circuit 33B is grounded by circuits 33C, 33E and 33 to turn the red brake telltale on. Circuits 33C, 33E and 33 are connected inside the I/P junction block.

Check the brake warning telltale ground circuit for opens or shorts to ground. Turn the ignition to run and check for voltage along circuits 33C, 33E, and 33. If voltage is zero, the circuit is open.

With the parking brake off, ignition off, and brake fluid filled check the resistance to ground on circuit 33B at the cluster harness connector. The circuit should be open. If it is less than one ohm, the circuit is shorted to ground.

REPAIRS:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.
