Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.

13 MPH Override Test

1. Put vehicle on a lift, just high enough to allow the wheels to spin.
2. Get in vehicle and leave driver's door open. Start the vehicle and put the transaxle in Drive and slowly increase speed to 15 mph (24 km/h).
3. Verify driver's belt moves to B pillar.

NOTE: Driver's belt will stay at B pillar until the key is removed, or the driver's door is closed and then re-opened.
4. Repeat steps with passenger door.

NOTE: If any binding or chattering is noted, lubricate tracks according to "Motorized Track Lubrication" in the "Safety Belts" section. Restraint tracks should be lubricated every 6000 miles (9654 km). Sliders (mice) may operate slower in cold weather.
