THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEMS
Check to make sure the vehicle does not have a theft deterrent system installed. If the vehicle does have a theft deterrent system, verify that the amperage draw of the system meets manufacturer's specification. If it exceeds specification, repair cause of excessive draw.
STARTER NOISE PROBLEMS
Gear reduction starters may sound different from the traditional starter. However, if a noise problem is encountered, follow the diagnosis under the "Starter Noise."
