Vacuum and Vapor Hose Diagrams

Vacuum Harness.:







REMOVAL

1. Remove air cleaner assembly.

2. Disconnect the harness from the throttle body (TBI) unit tube module.

3. Disconnect vacuum harness from EVAP canister purge solenoid, EGR solenoid, and manifold air pressure (MAP) sensor.

IMPORTANT: Inspect the vacuum harness connectors for deterioration. Replace the vacuum harness if damaged.


INSTALLATION

1. Attach the new vacuum harness to the throttle body TBI tube module.

2. Connect vacuum harness to EVAP canister purge solenoid, EGR solenoid/valve. and MAP sensor.

IMPORTANT: See diagram to insure proper routing and connection of vacuum lines. The rubber gasket installed on the plastic tube module is not serviced. The plastic tube module assembly must be replaced if the gasket or tube module are damaged. The paper gasket used with the metal tube module is serviceable and can be replaced. The plastic tube module assembly can be used to service TBI units with the metal tube module. Do not use a paper gasket with the plastic tube module assembly.

3. Install the air cleaner assembly fastener at left bracket and attach the air intake tube.

Torque: 10 Nm (89 in lbs)

4. Start engine and check for vacuum leaks.
