Procedure
CAUTION:FOR SAFETY REASONS AN ASSISTANT SHOULD DRIVE THE VEHICLE WHILE THE TECHNICIAN CHECKS FOR THE LOCATION OF THE REPORTED CONDITION.
NOTICE:
Safe legal speeds should never be exceeded.
1. Road test vehicle to verify concern.
2. Check the front side door window secondary weatherstrip appearance.
3. Open door and lower door glass to the full-down position.
NOTICE:
Care should be taken not to over-bend the door window frame which could impair door glass operation or door closing. It is better to adjust the door in small increments to achieve the fit required.
4. Grasp the upper front portion of the door window frame shown in the illustration and carefully pull inboard.
5. After a slight adjustment has been made, close the door and check the fit and appearance of the front side door window secondary weatherstrip along its mating surfaces (refer to illustration, pressure pockets).
6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until desired adjustment is attained.
7. Check glass operation by raising and lowering the window glass. Also, check door operation by opening and closing the door to make sure it operates correctly.
8. Road test to verify the repair.
