Owner Letter (Non-Involved Vehicle)

February 24, 1993

Dear Saturn Owner:

You may have heard about a Saturn "recall" involving the brake booster assemblies on certain 1993 model year Saturn cars produced during early February, 1993. We're writing to let you know what this is all about ... and especially to let you know that your car is not involved.

Recently we discovered that the brake booster assemblies on a small number of vehicles were improperly manufactured by the supplier. What this means is that the brake booster housing on these vehicles could come apart during a high effort braking maneuver, resulting in a loss of brake apply. As we hope you know, we place the highest priority on our customers' safety. Owners of these cars have already been notified and are having their vehicles inspected and repaired, if necessary. We will do everything we can to ensure that this condition is addressed promptly and with minimal inconvenience to affected owners.

Again, we want to assure you that your car is not involved. Also, we want you to know that we will always do our best to make sure you are completely satisfied with your Saturn.
