Fig. 5 Windshield Cowl Trim Panel Removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arm finish cap and attaching screw.
3. Lift wiper blade assembly from windshield, then remove wiper arm from pivot.
4. Remove cowl trim panel, Fig. 5.
5. Using suitable 13 mm wrench, move wiper motor crank arm to 12 o'clock position to access rear wiper module fasteners.
6. Remove wiper module attaching screws, then lift module to disconnect motor and module electrical connectors.
7. Remove wiper module, then move wiper motor crank arm to 9 o'clock or park position.
8. Remove crank arm nut, then disconnect crank arm from motor shaft.
9. Remove wiper motor attaching nut and bolts, then remove motor from transmission.
10. Reverse procedure to install. Torque wiper motor crank arm on wiper motor shaft to 21 ft. lbs., wiper module to 89 inch lbs. and wiper arms to 19 ft. lbs.
