Powertrain Controls - ECM/PCM

DESCRIPTION


The PCM has diagnostic features that monitor communications between the engine control module and transaxle control module within the PCM. When messages are not properly transmitted between the two, Code 82 will be set.

CODE PARAMETERS

Code 82 will set if:


^ A certain number of incorrect messages have been sent between the engine control module and transaxle control module within the PCM.

^ The PCM has the wrong calibration.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS

^ Clear the code and recalibrate the PCM

^ Cycle the ignition. If Code 82 resets, replace the PCM.
