Circuit 35, 35A

LOCATION:
Circuit 35 connects I/P cluster cavity F to I/P to Engine in-line connector cavity D. Circuit 35A connects I/P to engine in-line connector cavity D to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector cavity J2B03.

TYPE:
Dark Green 22 gage wire.

Check the coolant temperature telltale ground circuit for an open or short to ground. Turn the ignition to run and test for voltage on PCM cavity J2B03. There should be battery voltage. If voltage is less, the circuit is closed. The circuit could be closed due to the PCM or if circuit 35/35A is shorted to ground.

Disconnect the cluster harness and PCM harness connectors, and check the resistance through the circuit. If the resistance is less than one ohm, the circuit is shorted to ground.

REPAIRS:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.
