Circuit 158A, 158B, 155L


PRCM Ground CIRCUIT 158A, 158B, 155L, AND THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR AJAR SWITCH

Function:
The right front door ajar switch connects the 158A and 158B circuits to ground for the chime module and the passive restraint control module when the door is open.

CIRCUIT 158A

Location:
Connects the I/P junction block connector cavity A3 to the passive restraint control module connector cavity E and also to the right front door ajar switch connector cavity B since the 158A and 158B circuits are doubled in I/P junction block connector cavity A3.

Type:
Black/Orange 22 gage wire

Repair:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

CIRCUIT 158B

Location:
Connects the I/P junction block connector cavity A3 to the right front door ajar switch connector cavity B. (see Ckt. 158A)

Type:
Black/Orange 22 gage wire

Repair:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

RIGHT FRONT DOOR AJAR SWITCH

Location:
Located in the lower portion of the passenger side B pillar

Type:
This switch is removable from the front by using a small screwdriver to break through the small windows on the switch and compressing the legs that hold the switch in place.

Function:
This switch is OPEN with the door closed.

Repair:
Verify switch operation.

CIRCUIT 155L

Location:
Connects the right front door ajar switch connector cavity A to ground through the right body ground splice pack connector cavity J.

Type:
Black 22 gage wire

Repair:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
