Circuit 159A, 159B, 155P


CIRCUIT 159A, 159B, 155P, AND THE LEFT FRONT DOOR AJAR SWITCH

Function:
The left front door ajar switch connects the 159A and 159B circuits to ground for the chime module and the passive restraint control module when the door is open.

CIRCUIT 159A

Location:
Connects the I/P junction block connector cavity D3 to the passive restraint control module connector cavity B (and also to the left front door ajar switch connector cavity A) since the 159A and 159B circuits are doubled in I/P junction block connector cavity D3.

Type:
Tan 22 gage wire

Repair:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

CIRCUIT 159B

Location:
Connects the I/P junction block connector cavity D3 to the left front door ajar switch connector cavity A. (Refer to CKT. 159A)

Type:
Tan 22 gage wire

Repair:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

LEFT FRONT DOOR AJAR SWITCH

Location:
Located in the lower portion of the driver side B pillar

Function:
This switch is OPEN with the door closed.

The switch and ground is good if the dome lamp turns on when the door is opened.

Repair:
Verify switch operation.

CIRCUIT 155P

Location:
Connects the left front door ajar switch connector cavity B to ground through the left body ground splice pack connector cavity 0.

Type:
Black 22 gage wire

Repair:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.
