SUBJECT:
Hazy or Fogged Instrument Cluster Assembly Lens
(Remove Residue from Cleaning Product)

MODELS AFFECTED:
1991-1995 Saturns

CONDITION:
Some customers may comment that the instrument cluster assembly lens appears "Hazy" or "Fogged."

CAUSE:
When silicon-based cleaners are used to clean the instrument cluster assembly lens, a difficult to remove residue adheres to the instrument cluster lens. This residue may cause a "Hazy" or "Fogged" appearance on the instrument cluster assembly lens.

CORRECTION:
Clean the instrument cluster assembly lens according to the following procedure.

PROCEDURE:

1. Mix together the following cleaning solution in the quantity desired:

^ Five parts clean water
^ One part ammonia
^ One part mild dishwashing soap

NOTE:
Meguiar's(R) Plastic Polish # 10 or Meguiar's(R) Plastic Cleaner # 17 or equivalent can also be used.

2. Apply the cleaning solution to a soft, lint-free cloth.

3. Using the cloth, wipe the lens of the instrument cluster assembly in a horizontal (left to right) motion.

4. Turn cloth over to a clean area, apply more cleaning solution and wipe again in a horizontal (left to right) motion.

5. Repeat cleaning procedure with clean areas of the cloth until "Hazy" and/or "Fogged" condition is removed.
