Circuit 456, 456A

LOCATION:
Circuit 456 connects I/P cluster connector cavity K to I/P engine in line connector cavity M. Circuit 456A connects I/P engine in line connector cavity M to PCM connector cavity J2B01.

TYPE:
Tan/Black 22 gage wire.

Check the upshift telltale ground circuit for opens or shorts to ground. Turn the ignition to run with the cluster harness connector installed. The lamp should light for about two seconds and go off. If the lamp does not light, the circuit must be open. If the circuit is grounded and the lamp does not go on, then the cluster is at fault. If the lamp lights and stays lit, the circuit must be shorted to ground.

REPAIRS:
Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.
