Sunroof Sunshade - Sticks Or is Hard to Operate

Sunroof Sunshade is Hard to Operate/Binds, or has Broken Clips (Replace with New Sunshade)

MODELS AFFECTED:
1993-1995 Saturn Coupes up to and including VIN SZ264909

CONDITION:
Some owners may comment that the sunroof sunshade sticks or is hard to operate.

CAUSE:
The sunroof sunshade may be hard to operate due to the slide blocks binding or the fabric overlapped on the edges of the sunroof sunshade bunching in the tracks. When hard efforts occur, customers may force the sunroof sunshade and break the clips that hold the two halves of the sunroof sunshade together.

CORRECTION:
Remove sunroof sunshade from sunroof assembly and replace with new design sunroof sunshade from service parts. (Sunroof sunshade includes new clips.)

PROCEDURE:

For removal and installation procedures, refer to the "Sunroof Sunshade - Coupe" in the "Vehicle Interior Systems" section of the "Body/Collision Repair Service Manual."
