MOTOR CIRCUIT FAULT DETECTED
The ABS control module detects a fault in any of the motor circuits by monitoring a bias voltage. If a motor circuit is open, grounded, or shorted to battery, ABS will be disabled and the antilock and brake telltale will be turned On.

CODE PARAMETERS
Code 55 sets if:
^ Motor circuit fault is detected.
^ Code 55 will set for an internal ABS control module failure only.
^ The brake telltale will only light if the rear ABS motor is not in the home position

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
This code should only set accompanied by a code in the range of 56-66. If the code appears by itself, it indicates a faulty ABS control module.
