PCM Removal:

REMOVAL

NOTE: PCM is located under dash on the left (driver's) side of the vehicle.

1. Turn ignition Off.
2. Insert screwdriver blade between the carrier ledges and rotate screwdriver to disengage the dual lock.
3. Lift outward (towards passenger side) slightly to clear the carrier ledges and pull PCM downward to remove.

WARNING: Do not pull on the connectors or wires to remove the PCM. This could back out a terminal and cause an intermittent connection.

4. Remove PCM connectors.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the PCM connectors.
2. Guide PCM into upper carrier fingers and push up until the PCM clears the carrier ledges.
3. Push the PCM into the carrier (towards driver's side) to engage the dual lock.
4. Reprogram PCM.

NOTE: The PCM contains a EEPROM that must be reprogrammed when a service PCM is installed. Refer to the "Service Stall System User Guide" and PCM Description and Operation.

NOTE: When replacing a PCM with less than 6436 km (4000 miles), the distance counter for green engine break-in must be set to the current vehicle milage. This would be done with the Saturn "Service Stall System" (SSS).
