Valve Cover: Service and Repair

1. Remove fasteners.
2. Remove cam/rocker cover procured RTV bead entirely when gasket replacement is necessary.






NOTE: Inspect the cam/rocker cover isolators for cracks. Replace the isolators if deterioration exist. It is not necessary to replace the gasket every time the cover is removed. A small drop of RTV must be added to the T-joints when assembled.

3. A small 5 mm (0.20 inch) bead of RTV must be installed at the two T-joints whenever the cam/rocker cover is installed.
