Differential End Play
IMPORTANT:
Procedures are the same for automatic and manual transaxies. Figures illustrate an automatic transaxle; manual transaxle is similar.
1. Measure differential end play by using differential end play tool SA9112T. Select the largest gage tool that will fit between the case bearing pocket and the outer differential race.
2. Use the thickness (dimension) stamped on differential end play tool SA9112T and consult the Parts & Illustration Catalog to choose the correct size selective snap ring.
3. Install differential selective snap ring into housing on top of differential ball bearing and make sure it sets in the groove.
