Lock Rods and Door Handle Rods

REMOVAL

1. Remove trim panel.
2. Cycle glass to full up position.
3. Remove rods as required.

NOTICE: The rod retaining clips used in the door lock levers and mechanisms are not re.usable. Retention characteristics are minimized once a rod is extracted. Clips must be replaced every time a rod is extracted.

IMPORTANT: To adjust rods it is necessary to remove all tension on all components. Then turn rod adjustment end until it will insert into retention clip with no tension on the assembled components. Make sure inside door lock handle is in proper position when "locked."

INSTALLATION

1. Install lock rods and/or door handle rods.
2. Outside door handle rod length should be adjusted so associated lock lever is in a relaxed state.
3. Replace door trim panel.
