Installation

Fuel Gage Installation:

1. Visually inspect that the three metal clips (used to connect gage to flex PCB) at the bottom of housing are not crimped over or damaged (use screwdriver to correct clips if necessary).

IMPORTANT: Do not spread metal clips to far apart or electrical connection between gage and flex PCB may become intermittent or open.

2. Align slots on gage with grooves on housing and press downward equally on edges (above clips) until fully seated.
3. Inspect back of housing checking that gage pins are seated in metal clips (end of pins visible).

Fuel Gage Installation:

4. Seat the indicator dial face onto retaining pin (small white peg up by indicators.)

Fuel Gage Installation:

5. Align the speedometer over the two guide pins and press downward equally on both edges of the gage (at the top and bottom clips) until fully seated (snaps).
6. Inspect and verify rest position of speedometer and tachometer pointers.
7. Clean dial faces with low volume clean/dry air (207 kPa [30 psi] maximum) with a side-to-side sweeping motion.
8. Clean inside of lens/mask assembly with low volume clean/dry air (207 kPa [30 psi] maximum) with a side-to-side sweeping motion.

Fuel Gage Installation:

9. Holding lens/mask assembly by the ends and face up, align reset knob with hole in lens.
10. Start lens/mask tabs into slots in housing and at the top of cluster seat two housing tabs into lens/mask slots.
11. Press down on top of lens/mask around edge to fully seat all clips.
12. Inspect for proper alignment and seating of all clips.
13. Turn instrument panel cluster assembly over and carefully place face down. Make sure that the terminals (crimped to the flex PCB) are fully seated in the black connector at the speedometer connection. Carefully align and seat connector at speedometer. Do not use unnecessary force to install, making sure to check for obstructions and proper alignment. Do not bend connector more than necessary for installation.

IMPORTANT: If the connector is difficult to install, pinch the crimped section of the flex between your thumb and forefinger and gently bend the connector away from the crimp to a 30 to 40 degree angle.

14. Inspect that all gages and clips are seated correctly and that there is no debris or markings on the lens or dial faces.
15. Install instrument panel cluster assembly.
