Heater Return Hose

REMOVAL
1. Drain cooling system.





2. Remove windshield washer bottle.





3. Remove clamp and thermostat hose from end of heater return pipe.

WARNING: Make sure the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned prior to lifting to help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle on the opposite end from which components are to be removed.

4. Raise vehicle.





5. Remove clamp and heater hose from cylinder block near thermostat housing.

WARNING: Protect skin and eyes from coolant that may be left in pipe and hose. wear safety goggles.

INSTALLATION
1. Install heater hose and clamp to cylinder block near thermostat housing. Position clamp at 6 o'clock.
2. Lower vehicle.
3. Install hose and clamp to heater return pipe. Position clamp at 1 o'clock.
4. Install windshield washer bottle. Torque to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).
5. Fill cooling system and leak check.
6. Install and tighten pressure cap.
