ABS/PCM Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove ABS control module.
2. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connectors from under I/P.





3. Loosen PCM attachment nut at cross car beam and lift PCM upward (toward windshield) to disengage ABS/PCM bracket.

CAUTION: Do not pull on the connectors or wires to remove the PCM. This could back out a terminal and cause an intermittent connection.

4. Remove nuts holding ABS/PCM bracket to steering column support bracket.
5. Remove ABS/PCM bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Install ABS/PCM bracket stud through hole in steering column support bracket.
2. Install and torque nut.
^ Torque to 6 Nm (54 inch lbs.)
3. Lower PCM into bracket while guiding attachment stud into slot in cross car beam.

CAUTION: Torque is critical to preserve the integrity of the plastic insulator on the PCM case. Damage to the PCM can result from over-torque of the nut.

4. Torque nut to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
5. Connect PCM electrical connectors.
6. Install ABS control module.
