Rear
WARNING: Make sure vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned on hoist. To help avoid personal injury; provide additional support to the end of the vehicle opposite that from which components will be removed.REMOVAL
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove road wheel corresponding to the rotor being replaced.
3. Remove two caliper support to knuckle mounting bolts.
4. Suspend (using wire) the caliper assembly by the strut spring, clear of the knuckle.
5. Remove rotor from hub.
Rear Rotor Thickness
New 11.0 mm (.430 inch)
Minimum after Turning 9.3 mm (.370 inch)
Discard 9.0 mm (.350 inch)
INSTALLATION
1. Install brake rotor.
2. Install caliper assembly onto knuckle with two knuckle to caliper support fasteners.
^ Torque to 85 Nm (63 ft. lbs.)
CAUTION: Before installing wheels, remove rust or corrosion from wheel mounting surfaces and brake rotors/drums. Failure to do so can cause wheel lug nuts to loosen in service.
3. Position wheel onto hub.
4. Install wheel nuts and tighten in a crisscross pattern. Repeat tightening pattern to be sure torque is correct.
^ Torque to 140 Nm (103 ft. lbs.)
5. Lower vehicle from hoist.
