Engine Wiring Harness (SOHC):

IMPORTANT: Refer to the illustrations for proper engine wiring harness routing and attachments. The small arrows and corresponding callouts are for component connections. Ground connection locations are on the main engine illustrations. Large arrows indicate wiring harness attachments.

REMOVAL
1. Start engine wiring harness removal by disconnecting all electrical connectors and grounds from underhood components. Access to EVO connector will require removal of steering pump from brackets.
2. Remove all wiring harness attachments from body or components.
3. Remove harness from engine.
4. Disconnect electrical connectors from PCM and remove grommet.
5. Feed harness and PCM connectors through hole into engine compartment.
6. Remove harness from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
NOTE: Make sure to install, route, and connect engine harness exactly the same as original installation. Failure to properly install the harness could result in damage caused by contact with sharp edges or components.

1. Place harness underhood and feed PCM connectors through hole in engine compartment.
2. Connect PCM electrical connectors.
3. Install grommet in engine compartment hole.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE GROMMET IS FULLY SEATED TO PREVENT NOISE OR FUME INTRUSION INTO PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.
4. Route harness on engine and attach at all body/component locations.
5. Connect all electrical connectors to components.
6. Install and tighten grounds at all locations.
