Rattle, Pop, or Clicking Noise from Front End of Vehicle over Rough Road Surfaces (Remove Loose Windshield Support Lower Frame Clip)

Due to changes under Models Affected and Claim Information, this bulletin is being revised and supercedes bulletin 96-T-27, which should be discarded.

MODELS AFFECTED:
1996 Saturn Sedans and Wagons, and all 1997 - 1999 Saturn vehicles

CONDITION:

Rattle, pop, or clicking noise coming from the front of the vehicle while traveling over rough road surfaces. These noises may sound like a dash rattle from inside the vehicle.

CAUSE:

These noises may be caused by a windshield support lower frame clip that has become loose and fallen down the windshield pillar or is loose under the air inlet grill panel.

CORRECTION:

Refer to procedure in this bulletin to verify and remove, if required, the loose windshield support lower frame clip.
