Output Shaft Assembly





1. Lubricate all rotating parts and bearings with Transaxle Fluid during assembly.

IMPORTANT: Soak the blocker ring in Transaxle Fluid for 15 minutes prior to installation.

2. Install 1st driven gear thrust washer.
3. Install 1st driven gear bearing.
4. Install 1st driven gear.
5. Install 1st gear synchronizer blocker ring and synchronizer spring.





6. Press 1st / 2nd synchronizer hub onto shaft making sure to align the tangs on blocker ring with the slots in the hub.

IMPORTANT: Be sure tabs on blocker ring are aligned with slots on hub (3rd / 4th synchronizer shown, 1st / 2nd synchronizer similar).





7. Install 1st / 2nd synchronizer sleeve with the reverse driven gear side facing down toward 1st gear.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to align the mark on the sleeve to the mark on the hub as shown. Make sure alignment marks are facing up.

8. Install 2nd gear bearing race. To ease installation, warm bearing race with your hands or heat gun before installing.
9. Install the 2nd gear synchronizer spring on the 2nd gear synchronizer blocker ring and install assembly. Making sure to align the tangs on blocker ring with the slots in the hub.
10. Install the 2nd gear bearing.
11. Install the 2nd driven gear.
12. Install 3rd/4th driven gear, with the larger gear (3rd) on the bottom.
13. Use SA9118T to press output shaft (ball) bearing onto shaft with the snap ring groove up (away from the gears).
