Left Rear Floor Heater Duct
REMOVAL
1. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Service Precautions.
2. Remove console. Refer to Air Flow Control Box - A/C / Service and Repair / HVAC Module for procedure.
3. Remove four bolts and driver seat.
4. Remove push nut from left rear floor heater duct.
5. Remove rear shifter nuts and loosen front shifter nuts.
6. Disconnect right rear floor heater duct from left rear floor heater duct.
7. Lift left rear floor heater duct off of rear shifter bolts.
8. Remove left rear floor heater duct from under carpet.
INSTALLATION
1. Install left rear floor heater duct in position under carpet.
2. Install left rear floor heater duct on rear shifter bolts and connect right rear floor heater duct.
3. Install and tighten rear shifter nuts.
4. Tighten front shifter nuts.
5. Install push nut on left rear floor heater duct outlet.
IMPORTANT: Apply Loctite 242 or equivalent to all four seat bolts prior to installation.
6. Install driver seat and torque four bolts.
Torque: 35 N.m (26 ft-lbs)
7. Connect seat belt electrical connector under driver seat and install lock pin.
8. Install console. Refer to Air Flow Control Box - A/C / Service and Repair / HVAC Module for procedure.
9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Service Precautions.
