Removal





CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT TO THE OPPOSITE END OF THE VEHICLE THAT COMPONENTS WILL BE REMOVED FROM.

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove both rear road wheels.
3. Place an approved container under the left rear brake line, at the brake line/brake hose junction and disconnect left brake line from brake hose.

IMPORTANT: Plug brake line to avoid excessive brake fluid loss or contamination.

4. Remove right and left stabilizer bar link-to-bracket fasteners.





5. Remove stabilizer bar to crossmember fasteners.





6. Loosen lateral link to left knuckle fastener.

IMPORTANT: Do not remove fastener at this time.

7. Remove trailing arm-to-left knuckle fastening nut.
8. Remove two left trailing arm-to-body fasteners.
9. Slide left trailing arm out of knuckle.





10. Remove left lateral link-to-knuckle fastener. Swing left lateral links downward, away from knuckle.





NOTICE: Attempting to remove stabilizer bar without loosening brake lines from crossmember could result in a bent brake line. Note location and position of brake lines prior to loosening and be sure to install lines to same position.

11. Unfasten crossbody brake line from crossmember by unsnapping brake line fasteners from crossmember.
12. Remove stabilizer bar.
