Saturn transaxles have coded manufacturing date stamps to aid in identification. The transaxles use a ten digit identification code to designate not only the time, day and year, but also model code, production plant and a design change code. The day is designated by the Julian date.


Gear Identification
All MP7 unique gears have an identification groove on the outer diameter of the gear teeth. There is no identification mark on MP6 unique gears or MP6, MP7 common gears.
