Circuit 25/25A

FUNCTION: This circuit provides a signal to the I/P cluster from the generator. The generator will turn the telltale On under several conditions (such as a no charge condition).

Check the charge telltale ground circuit for opens or shorts to ground. Turn the ignition to Run with the cluster connector installed. The charge telltale should come On. If the charge telltale comes On and stays lit with engine running, the circuit is shorted to ground or the generator is at fault. If the charge telltale does not come On the circuit is open, the generator is at fault or the cluster or bulb is at fault. Jumper cluster cavity N to E (CKT 350). If the charge telltale light comes On, then the cluster and bulb are Ok. If the charge telltale is not operating properly, refer to the "Starting/Charging". Starting and Charging

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.

If this component is good, go to the next item indicated on the chart.
