Drive Belt Replacement

REMOVAL





1. Depress tensioner arm using a 14 mm or 9/16 inch wrench or equivalent.
2. Remove belt assembly off idler or A/C compressor pulley.
3. Remove accessory drive belt.

INSTALLATION





1. Route belt around all pulleys, except front cover idler or A/C compressor pulley.
2. Depress tensioner arm using a 14 mm or 9/16 inch wrench.

CAUTION: Make sure the belt is properly aligned on the pulleys.

3. Slip the belt over the front cover idler or A/C compressor pulley.
4. If the tensioner idler pulley attachment bolt is loosened, remove the bolt and apply Saturn PIN 21485277 (Loctite 242 or equivalent) to threads. Torque bolt to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
