Removal

1. Disable the SIR System. (Refer to "Disabling the SIR System".)
2. Remove console. (Refer to "Console Removal" procedure.)
3. Remove five lower column cover fasteners, upper cover, and ignition cylinder. Remove lower cover.





4. Disengage the retaining tabs and remove the park lock cable assembly from the ignition module.





5. Disconnect the end terminal of the park lock cable assembly from the plastic lock-out lever at the control base assembly.
6. Depress two tabs on the end fitting of the park lock cable assembly and remove the park lock cable assembly from the control base assembly.





7. Remove park lock cable assembly from vehicle and note cable routing.
