BTSI Solenoid

- Check solenoid connector for open, spread or corroded terminals.
- Test Solenoid:





1. Remove Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock (BTSI) solenoid. (Refer to "Solenoid Removal" procedure.)
2. Ground terminal A of the BTSI solenoid and apply 12 volts to terminal B.
a. When 12 volts are applied to the BTSI solenoid, the actuator rod should not be able to move.
b. If the actuator rod can move with 12 volts applied, replace the BTSI solenoid.
