Sunroof Glass Panel Seal Replacement

SUNROOF GLASS SEAL

REMOVAL

1. Remove sunroof glass. Refer to "Sunroof Glass Removal" procedure.






2. Remove seal by pulling from the glass starting at the splice joint.

INSTALLATION






1. Starting at the rear center of the sunroof glass, install seal by pushing it onto the edge of the glass pane! and gently stretching it.

2. Approximately 102 mm (4 in.) prior to completing installation of the seal, cut the seal so there is an extra 3.18 mm (1/8 in.) in length.

3. Apply Loctite 410 Black Toughened Instant Adhesive (or equivalent) to splice joint area where ends of seal meet.






4. With approximately 102 mm (4 in.) of seal unattached, push the two ends of the seal together in the glue joint.

5. Install remainder of seal by pushing seal onto edge of glass panel. The 3.18 mm (1/8 in.) of extra seal material should provide a tight seal at spice joint.






6. Install sunroof glass. Refer to "Sunroof Glass Installation" procedure.
