Chart 17 Radio Noise:

IMPORTANT
Before proceeding:
^ If there are aftermarket components installed or in use in vehicle that may be causing complaint, refer to Chart 12, then return to this chart.
^ If noise is in conjunction with poor reception, go to Chart 11, Poor Reception.
^ To distinguish between noise or poor reception, perform the System Performance Check.
^ If noise is only present when a switch is activated, refer to Chart 20, Switch Pop or Accessory Noise before proceeding.
^ Check for any technical service bulletins on radio noise.
