REMOVAL

1. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.





2. Remove console.

IMPORTANT: Removing the seat using the following sequence will aid in reassembly of the unit.

3. Remove two front bolts from passengers seat in the following order:
a. Front inboard.
b. Front outboard.
4. Move seat to full forward position by activating the seat adjuster lever.
5. Remove two rear bolts from front seat in the following order:
a. Rear outboard.
b. Rear inboard.
6. Remove seat and place on a clean, protected work surface.





7. Remove push nut from right rear floor heater duct.





8. Disconnect right rear floor heater duct from left and main rear floor heater ducts.
9. Remove right rear floor heater duct from under carpet.

INSTALLATION





1. Install right rear floor heater duct in position under carpet.
2. Connect right rear floor heater duct into main and left rear floor heater ducts.





3. Install push nut on right rear floor heater duct outlet.





IMPORTANT: Timing of the seat adjuster tracks in relationship to each other is essential for proper installation. Handle the seat assembly with extreme care to prevent damage to seat mounting surface.

4. Install passenger seat:
a. Activate seat adjuster assemblies by releasing the adjuster lever.
b. Position seat cushion assembly forward to allow the pawls attached to the seat track to lock in the third windows on both seat adjuster tracks.
c. Carefully place seat in vehicle.
d. Apply Loctite(R) 242 Threadlocker (P/N 21485277) or equivalent to four seat bolts. Install the following three seat bolts in the following order:





(1) Rear inboard.
(2) Rear outboard.
(3) Front outboard.

Torque: 35 N.m (26 ft-lbs)

e. Move seat assembly to full rearward position by activating the seat adjuster lever.
f. Install front inboard seat bolt 04.

Torque: 35 N.m (26 ft-lbs)

5. Sit in seat. Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt.
6. Activate adjuster lever and move seat to various positions along seat tracks to ensure proper operation. The seat should lock at each desired position.
7. Install console.
8. Enable the SIR system.
