Rear Folding Seat Back Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Sedan) (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Sedan))Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Wagon) (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Wagon)) .




2. Remove the seat back cover/pad.
3. Remove the pivot bracket from the seat back.




4. Remove the lock mechanism from the seat back panel.




5. Drill out the seat back latch rivets and remove the latch assembly.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear seat back latch assembly with the rivets.




2. Snap the lock mechanism into the seat back panel.




3. Install the seat back cover.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the seat back pivot bracket.

Tighten the bracket to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).





5. Install the seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Sedan) (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Sedan))Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Wagon) (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Wagon)) .
