Engine Mount: Service and Repair

- SA9lSOE Engine Support Fixture
- J43405 Engine Support Fixture Adapter

REMOVAL





1. Remove air cleaner assembly.





a. Unsnap EVAP purge valve assembly and secure out of the way of air cleaner assembly.





b. Remove air cleaner lid:
1. Loosen hose clamp at throttle body.
2. Slide off flexible inlet hose to throttle body hose.
3. Unclamp air cleaner lid.
4. Remove air cleaner lid, and hose as an assembly.
c. Remove air cleaner from air box.





d. Remove air box mount bolt.
e. Remove air box.





2. Install engine support fixture SA9l50E (or equivalent).





3. Remove engine mount to bracket fasteners.





4. Remove engine mount to body attachment fasteners.
5. Remove engine mount from vehicle.





6. Remove engine mount bracket to engine fasteners.
7. Remove bracket from vehicle.

INSTALLATION





1. Install engine mount bracket into vehicle and tighten fasteners.
- Torque: 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.)





2. Install engine mount into vehicle.
3. Install engine mount to body fasteners.
- Torque: 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.)





4. Install engine mount to bracket bolts.
- Torque: 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.)
5. Install air cleaner assembly.





a. Install air box. Ensure that lower pin engages into rubber mount grommet and that lower duct fits into resonator outlet.
b. Install air box mount bolt.
c. Install air cleaner.





d. Install air cleaner lid. Ensure that the lid hinge is fully engaged in air box slots or the lid may not properly seal.
e. Slide flexible hose and hose clamp on throttle body.
f. Tighten hose clamp.





g. Install EVAP purge valve assembly.
