53. Balance Shaft Installation

IMPORTANT: If balance shafts are not properly timed to engine, the engine may vibrate or make noise.

Install balance shaft assemblies to engine using the following steps:





1. Place the number one piston at top dead center (TDC).
2. Install balance shaft drive chain sprocket on crankshaft
3. Install balance shafts into their bores
4. Install balance shaft retaining bolts
- Torque: 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
