Exhaust Manifold Pipe to Exhaust Manifold Gasket

REMOVAL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST.





1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove exhaust manifold pipe to exhaust manifold bolts.

NOTICE: Excessive movement of pipe can damage flex pipe.

3. Pull down on exhaust manifold pipe just enough to remove gasket.
4. Remove old gasket and discard.

INSTALLATION

1. Install a new gasket onto exhaust manifold studs.
2. Install and tighten nuts that hold exhaust manifold pipe to exhaust manifold.
^ Torque: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)
3. Lower vehicle from hoist.
4. Check entire exhaust system for leaks.
