Exhaust Resonator Heat Shield

REMOVAL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST.

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.





2. Remove bolts that hold exhaust manifold pipe to exhaust resonator.





3. Remove heat shield to body attachment nuts.
4. Lower exhaust resonator by removing some isolators and remove heat shield.

INSTALLATION





1. Position heat shield and install nuts.
^ Torque: 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.)





2. Position exhaust resonator and install isolators.





3. Install and tighten bolts that hold exhaust manifold pipe to exhaust resonator.
^ Torque: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
4. Lower vehicle from hoist.
5. Check exhaust system for leaks.
