Transaxle Case

Tools Required
- 87-91-311 Sleeve, Bearing Driver Shaft
- 87-90-800 Drift, Differential Seal
- 87-92-236 Support

DISASSEMBLY





1. Press out output shaft bearing race using 87-91-311.





2. Remove input shaft bearing retainer screws and retainer.





3. Press out input shaft bearing race using 87-90-800. Use 87-92-236 as a base for pressing operation.





4. Remove transaxle vent filter from case using a punch Drive vent from outside to inside.

- 87-92-202 Output Shaft Bearing Race Sleeve
- 87-91-188 Screw Press Support
- 83-90-312 Drift, Bearing Race, Input Shaft

ASSEMBLY





NOTICE: Use a hollow drift or wrap a short piece of tubing around the vent filter when tapping into case. If the mesh of the vent is damaged during installation, it will no longer perform its venting function, and may cause transaxle fluid leaks at other locations.

1. Carefully tap in a new transaxle vent filter.

2. Press in input shaft bearing race using 87-92-202. Use 87-91-188 as a base for the pressing operation.





3. Install input shaft bearing retainer using 1.5 mm of shims, and tighten screws evenly in a criss cross pattern.
Torque: 38 Nm (28 ft. lbs.)





4. Press in output shaft bearing race using 83-90-312. Use 87-91-188 as a base for the pressing operation.
