ABS Programming

Replacement EBTCMs require coding to be programmed in to the EBTCM memory. Program the EBTCM if a new EBTCM is installed in a vehicle. If a EBTCM is installed without being programmed, DTC C0551 (Option Configuration Error) will be set and traction control will be disabled. The programming is performed with the scan tool, the engine type and the transmission type are coded into the EBTCM memory. the EBTCM requires the engine and transmission coding for TCS operation.
